Excitement! The relatives are coming to town tonight. A visit from relatives is going to kill me one day. I spent the last 24 hours in a state of motion, with a dustrag in one hand and a bottle of cleaner in the other, and a vacuum cleaner handle shoved up my ass, so that I didn't waste any motion. I had to handle most of the chores, because my wife is terribly ill. She has gotten better as the week has gone on, but on Tuesday the ob/gyn did an endometrial biopsy on her, and the pain from that, as the doctor described it, is worse than the worst cramps ever. She was already doubled over at that point, so it was worse. Thankfully, the ER doctor the day before had given her some strong painkillers, so she hit them up and basically passed out on the couch for an entire day and night. It's taken her all week to get back to this point, where she can function around the house, so I did all the work I could to keep her from having to strain. What a great husband I am! Do I get extra points for this?

I can't wait for the kids to get here. They have never been to a major league game before, and I'm excited to see if they like it or not. My niece has been to some AAA games, so it won't be quite as new for her. I'm taking them in on MARTA (which will clue some of you readers in on where we are) and they've never been on a train/subway before, either. A weekend of firsts.
