Well, things are going to be different now. I just learned how to post a picture. You probably knew how already. Now I'm going to post pictures of my burnt back. Relatives. Strangers. Rocks. Trees. Auto tires. Ants. Anything. The only bad part is that I lost a lot of pictures in the Crash of '04, when the hard drive bit the dust. I've been steadily restocking my new, larger hard drive, so it won't be long. I went to see the new Harry Potter movie today. I enjoyed it tremendously. The leads in the movie have gone from being cute and cuddly, to actually acting, and not doing a bad job of it. I was particularly impressed with Daniel Radcliffe. He got to show some fire and spark in this movie. He's come a long way as an actor, not to mention growing up along the way, and he has obviously been paying attention to the environment he has been in--the company of grown, working actors. In no way do I mean any disrespect to Maggie Smith or Alan Rickman or Richard Harris when I refer to them as merely working actors. What I mean is that Mr. Radcliffe is showing talent, and showing that he has paid attention to the quality of work around him. He is showing that the exposure to those actors is getting in. The movie uses a lot more of the surrounding area of Hogwarts. That gives the imaginary castle a much more real feel to the audience, a legitimacy. The script is faithful to the book again, but the book has a lot of subplots and sidestories that the movie leaves out. You won't miss them. The plot of the movie is more than sufficient to carry it through. I do recommend the book, because those side plots are really very good.
